Susan H. Zurvalec, Farmington Public Schools’ (FPS) superintendent, surprised three teachers on March 11 to inform them they had been named Teacher of the Year at their respective levels.

Alameda Early Childhood Center celebrated its’ 10th annual “Beach Day’s.” Activities throughout the building allowed the students to explore with their senses.
Farmington Central High School students made “Haiti Houses” – pins and magnets in their art class under the supervision of Ms.Maloziec. They will be selling them at the Parent Teacher Conference and proceeds will go to help those in Haiti who have lost their homes.
Superintendent Sue Zurvalec joins Longacre Elementary School students for the school's "Lunch with a Leader" program.
Gill Elementary School announced the winners of the "Kindness Connects Us All" contest on Friday, December 11. Students were asked to show off their creativity by creating an original poster or poem or story or rap around the theme of “Kindness."
Beechview Elementary School celebrated Veterans Day with a flag raising and a special program. The flag will fly at Beechview for one day and will then be taken on a flying mission over Afghanistan then returned to Beechview.
